Visit of Professor David McGee and Jonas Strobelt.

During an intense and inspiring week at HoloLith Group, I had the pleasure of hosting Prof. David McGee from The College of New Jersey and Jonas Strobelt, PhD student from Prof. Svetlana Santer’s group at the University of Potsdam.
Their visit offered a unique chance to work side by side, combining our complementary expertise in photonics and vectorial azomaterials photopatterning, with a strong focus on polarization-driven mass migration. We conducted hands-on experiments with spatial light modulators, exploring the light-responsive behavior of the various azopolymers used in the three groups. We analyzed the fascinating correlation between molecular design, macroscopic material response, and vectorial light fields.
We are grateful for their visit and the stimulating environment it fostered.
