The HoloLith Group has successfully installed a Digital Holographic Microscope (DHM), a core instrument for the ERC project HyperMaSH, now fully operational within the lab. It is a fully customized system capable of operating in both reflection and transmission modes, offering additional degrees of freedom for material characterization by combining surface and volume effects within a single analysis platform.

This system will not only enable fast optical surface characterization but will also open the way to real-time analysis of surface morphology evolution during photodeformation under our dynamical holographic field illumination.

It will be able for us to follow the dynamics of light-driven mass migration, providing key experimental insight to investigate the mechanisms behind surface reshaping and to support a deeper modeling of the mass migration process.
